About the Players
Since its inception and organization in 1982, the The Lake of the Woods Players has been contributing to the cultural enrichment of the community. From its initial production, The Curious Savage, some 25 years ago, 45 shows have been presented to supportive and appreciative audiences. This dedicated group has continued to grow and flourish over the years.
The organization produces two shows during the year in the spring and fall. Almost all members are involved in one or more aspects of the presentation. In addition to the actors, behind-the-scene chores are many, involving properties, wardrobe, makeup, lighting, audio, publicity, ticket sales, ushering, etc.
The Players welcome newcomers whether they are "star material," stage crew volunteers, or just individuals with an affinity for the threatre. You do not have to live in Lake of the Woods to become involved with The Players. Come join us....
